Cabanatuan Youth Commission ends YOTY through Advent Recollection

The activity started with praying the rosary led by their acting diocesan youth director, Fr. Denis de Leon, MHHC. Then the main highlight of the whole day activity, advent recollection followed which was conducted by Fr. Simon Jeffrey Jed Catatista.

The Recollection emphasized that the best gift to Jesus on His birthday is “our sincere reconciliation” to Him.  Catista invited the participants to have confession before Christmas.  A joyous Christmas party filled with games and prizes was held during the afternoon.
The activity was ended with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, ending the Year of the Youth in the diocesan level. It was presided by the bishop of Cabanatuan, Most Rev. Sofronio A. Bancud SSS, DD.
Bishop Bancud asked the youth not let their faith falter and ask the Lord for guidance so that they can stand firm in the faith.

Bancud encouraged the youth to continue the celebration of the Year of the Youth.
He also added that always bear the love of Christ in everything that you do.
The bishop also asked for the prayers and support for all the victims of the recently typhoon Sendong. (Ryan Rayos/Jandel Posion)
